Every travel guide on Korea, Verified carries a date stamp. This page explains our verification methodology, our editorial standards, and how we keep travel logistics accurate for international visitors.
The verification date means primary records were re-read that day
A verification date on our guides is not a decorative republish timestamp or a year added to a title. It marks the exact day our editorial desk pulled, audited, and verified the underlying transit tariffs, airport express schedules, terminal transfer procedures, or immigration rules against the authority that enforces them.
Anything older than its stamp has not been re-audited since. We believe that transparent disclosure is far safer for travelers than conventional travel blogs that leave years-old fares online indefinitely.
Korean primary sources first
Korean public transit operators, airport authorities, and government ministries release their latest operational updates and tariff revisions in Korean first. Official English translations often arrive months late, or are never published at all.
Our primary rule is to locate the original Korean governing document: Seoul City Hall public notices, Incheon International Airport Corporation flight manifests, Korail circulars, or Ministry of Justice immigration regulations. We cite these directly at the foot of every guide, tagging Korean sources with KO so international researchers, embassy staff, and travelers can verify them.
All content is synthesized and structured into clear, actionable English specifically tailored for overseas travelers.
Automated integrity tests before publication
Editorial standards are backed by automated build-gate assertions. Before any new or updated guide can be published to the site, our continuous integration checks:
- Every single numerical claim and fare in the text must match an audited primary source.
- Source lists cannot be empty and must include active official URLs.
- A verification date cannot be set in the future or back-filled into stale windows.
- Primary and secondary search intents must be matched by concrete, factual answers.
If a guide fails any of these integrity gates, the site build halts and the guide does not deploy.
Field observation and visual documentation
Where physical logistics dictate the travel experience — such as navigating the Incheon Airport Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 shuttle bus platforms, validating T-money card kiosks at convenience stores, or locating prayer rooms — our Incheon-based team verifies the physical signage, fare gates, and floor layouts on the ground.
Images and UI screenshots published on this site clearly identify what is shown, the date of capture, and the relevant location to help travelers recognize real landmarks immediately upon arrival.
