The official source wins

Much of what is written here comes from reading Korean-language government and operator pages that have no English version, or whose English version says something different. That is the point of the site. It also means that when a page here and the issuing authority disagree, the issuing authority is right and this page is wrong, whatever the date on it. Immigration officers, station staff and card operators are not bound by anything published here.

Everything here has a date, and dates go stale

Fares, fees, deadlines, eligibility rules and opening hours in Korea change without notice, and sometimes the change is announced in Korean weeks before an English version exists. Every article carries the date its figures were checked. Treat that date as the limit of the claim. An article checked in March is a statement about March.

What is not checked is said out loud

Each article names what it could not verify. That admission is part of the article, not a formality, and it is there because a page that only shows its strong claims is harder to use than one that shows its weak ones too. If a detail matters enough to change your plans, confirm it with the operator before you rely on it.

Errors and corrections

Mistakes get corrected in place, dated, and explained on the page where they happened rather than removed quietly. If you find one, write to contact@koreaverified.com. Corrections from readers who were actually at the counter are the most useful mail this site receives.

Links to other sites

Articles link to government notices, operator pages and other outside sources. Those sites are not under this site's control, their content can change or disappear after it was cited, and linking to one is not an endorsement of everything else on it.

This site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Reasonable care goes into checking every figure, and it is still possible for a page to be wrong, out of date or incomplete. To the extent the law allows, the publisher accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on anything published here.
